May 17, 1951, Cainsville, Harrison County, Missouri	John Wesley Hughes was born on September 9, 1874. He married Etta Iona Axsom on December 21, 1899. John was a farmer, and lived on at least two different farms in northern Missouri. John died on May 17, 1951. He was the father of 2 children. Although his father established the Hughes Cemetery on the grounds of his farm (the latter one that John farmed), John and his wife are buried together in Freedom Cemetery near Saline, Missouri, at her request.
