Axsom Family Cemetery
Surry County, NC

Directions:

• From Hwy 601 S at Fairview Crossroads, follow NNC 268 W for approximately 2 miles.
• Turn left on SR 1113 (Gilliam Rd. - dead end).
• Follow the road to an abandoned farmhouse (Old Lee Cockerham Farm).
• Follow the old road bed in front of the house for approximately 1/4 mile.
• The cemetery is located in a copse of trees to the right.

There are eighteen (18) graves in the cemetery. Eight (8) of those graves have inscribed tombstones. The remaining 10 graves are marked with rocks.
